Our counselors and ministry leaders are not just professionals. They are people who have chosen this work with intention — people who believe deeply in the dignity of every client and the possibility of genuine transformation. We are clinically trained, PhD-supervised, and rooted in faith.
Amanda holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of California, San Diego and a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. After serving as the Director of the Counseling Ministry at Coast Hills Community Church in Aliso Viejo for twelve years, Amanda sensed a calling to expand her reach. She joined her husband Jonathan in building a unique ministry that blends traditional clinical psychology with the healing power of animal-assisted care.
Over more than two decades, Amanda has provided and overseen counseling across a wide range of settings — from churches to clinical offices to community outreach. She brings the same steadiness and compassion to every session, whether she is supervising a team of interns, supporting a client through trauma, or quietly guiding someone who simply needed a safe place to land. At Trinity Counseling Ministries in Mission Viejo, Amanda oversees all professional counseling services and provides clinical supervision to masters-level interns seeking professional licensure.
Amanda is also an avid equestrian and the owner of several horses, including miniature horses Maverick and Jazzy. She competes locally and nationally in the Hunter/Jumper discipline.

Jonathan holds a Bachelor's of Communication from San Diego State University and brings an executive background to his leadership of TrinityK9z. He has managed nonprofits and has served as President of his industry's trade association. But his most meaningful work has been with dogs and the people they heal.
Jonathan and the Trinity therapy dogs are graduates of the Extreme K-9 Psychology Institute in Marion, Illinois. He is a registered hospice care volunteer, an AKC Certified Canine Good Citizen Evaluator and Trainer, and he has spent years volunteering with Alzheimer's and hospice patients, bringing trained therapy dogs to those who need connection most. Jonathan leads all dog behavior training and animal-assisted therapy programming for the ministry, equipping volunteers and their dogs to serve their communities with skill and care.
